BACKGROUND
In December 2025, Airtel Tanzania marked a major milestone in its innovation journey with the launch of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology. VoLTE enables customers to make high-quality voice calls while simultaneously browsing the internet, watching videos, or using social media without call drops or interruptions.
This launch positioned Airtel as an industry leader in Tanzania, reinforcing its commitment to delivering seamless and superior digital experiences to its customers.
OUR APPROACH
To support the VoLTE launch, IMG designed and executed a comprehensive public relations strategy that engaged audiences across all phases of the project. The campaign leveraged compelling storytelling, strategic stakeholder engagement and strong media partnerships with the huge support of the live podcast, This approach positioned Airtel as the first telecom company to launch Voice over LTE.
RESULTS
- Extensive national media coverage across broadcast and digital platforms.
- Earned media exposure achieved a total Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) of TZS 46,520,000.
